Iwish design and lighting studio brings FLOR Vetro and CONCAV works to Paris Design Week 2026<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Buenos Aires hosts Iwish, a design and lighting studio founded by Ignacio Noel, responsible for two pieces shown at the event, running Sept. 10-19, 2026, in the French capital. Noel signed both works, named FLOR Vetro and CONCAV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten days of programming bring together brands and independent studios from different countries. Iwish is taking part in the fair for a second consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glass fusing, a technique that bonds layers of glass through heat, gave rise to FLOR Vetro. The process reshapes the material’s surface, producing irregularities, transparencies and overlapping layers that alter the perception of light emitted by the fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible stems, built with shape memory, support the glass body and double as a light source, eliminating the traditional separation between structure and glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

User interaction is part of the design. Each person can reposition the stem and change its shape, also shifting the direction of the light cast into the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the kiln, factors such as temperature and glass position produce unpredictable results. Consequently, no FLOR Vetro unit is identical to another, even within the same set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stone and magnetism give rise to light<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ignacio Mart\u00ednez Todeschini joins Noel as co-designer of the CONCAV collection, which explores the relationship between mineral, geometry and shine. The project treats rock as more than a structural element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONCAV Book, the series’ first entry, is an illuminated bookend made of two independent parts, called L and C, that work as standalone objects when separated. Brought together, a magnetic system connects them and automatically activates the light built into its body, without any conventional switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Piece L supports the books and holds the light point, while piece C can be moved and placed on top of them, changing the arrangement according to the number and size of the volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost by chance, one of the stones used in the prototype, originally taken from a discarded batch, reacted to the magnetic system. The discovery was not planned, but it became part of the final outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reusing waste and turning it into a functional component sums up, according to the pair, the entire approach: nothing gets discarded before being tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International recognition grows for the studio<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Small production runs define the studio’s output, always developed in partnership with local artisans and manufacturers in Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gold medal at the A’ Design Award, a global competition, won in 2025, adds to Iwish’s recent record, which also includes an appearance at Milan Design Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors to Paris Design Week will be able to see both projects in person over the event’s 10 days, alongside established brands in the design and decor industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
