Family heritage, original creations and found pieces share 110 square meters at CASACOR Florianópolis 2026, in a project by Taiza Santos.

Taiza Santos (@revisite.me), of Revisite Arq. & Int., designed the Casa da Arquiteta at CASACOR Florianópolis 2026. The project starts from the idea that the most special spaces reveal the story of the people who live in them. Inspired by the theme “Mente e Coração” (Mind and Heart), it turns 110 square meters into an affectionate space where architecture, design, art and personal objects build a unique narrative.

Living room, dining area and office connect fluidly at CASACOR Florianópolis 2026. Organic shapes, natural materials, textures and welcoming tones create a sophisticated, intimate and timeless atmosphere.

At CASACOR Florianópolis 2026, a turntable and vinyl records take the central spot that screens often occupy, inviting a pause from the fast pace of contemporary life. Colors, materials and lighting reinforce that atmosphere, and technology gives way to relationships.

Memory also guides the construction choices. Existing plaster and slab were preserved, and the wall tiles were reused and given new meaning. Found pieces from different eras, some carrying family stories, join contemporary furniture in a composition that brings past and present together.

Brazilian designers signed several furnishings: the Domino buffet, Babilônia bookcase and Ela desk, by Larissa Diegoli; the Aclive armchair with ottoman, by Natasha Schlobach; and the Cecilia chair, by Daniela Ferro. Santos developed the bar cabinet especially for the space.

Fragments of Santos’ life story also fill the home. A flowered vase from her grandparents’ home in Parque São Jorge recalls childhood, while a pitcher and corn cups evoke weekends at her grandmother Murita’s apartment on Rua Santos Saraiva. Her parents’ home appears through music, with records spanning hits from Ray Conniff to the band ABBA. Together, these pieces make a home with identity and humanity, built from design choices and from the experiences that give meaning to living.

Natural pau-ferro wood adds warmth and depth in dialogue with the Persian rug, chosen for texture, history and personality. All-LED lighting uses warm light and focused spots to highlight artworks, textures, furniture and architectural details.

Sustainability appears in the preservation of existing elements and in pieces from Residual Arte e Design, which works with wood from trees that fell naturally and, after treatment, gives it new uses. At CASACOR Florianópolis 2026, this material becomes table legs and a sculpture.

Art also holds a prominent place. Santos, who develops her own artistic production, presents an original work, joined by pieces from Laís Odeli (painting and table lamps), Davison Vivaldino (vases), Geovana Pereira (Jardim das Letras), Pavio Vintage (tray sconces) and Raquel Albernoz (floral art).

To Santos, the Casa da Arquiteta at CASACOR Florianópolis 2026 represents a synthesis of her personal and professional path:

“I believe a home becomes special when we can recognize in it the story of the people who live there. In this project, I wanted to bring out precisely this relationship between architecture, memory and affection. Every choice was made so that the space would have personality, but also so that it could convey warmth and truth. The idea is to show that we can create sophisticated environments without erasing the marks of life; on the contrary, they are what make a home unique.”

In the Casa da Arquiteta, “Mente e Coração” shows in the balance between the project’s rationality and the affective dimension of living. It is a home where different times and references show that an author’s space does not need to erase the marks of life.
