Tuane Costa of Studio Tuca translates the city of five decades ago into curves, wood, velvet and metal at Casa Liv 2026.

BELÉM DO PARÁ — Casa Liv 2026 hosts the Navvo Boutique Hotel, a space designed by Tuane Costa of Studio Tuca. Named “Entre Tempos,” the project grew out of a study of Pará’s capital in the 1970s and blends memory, architecture and contemporary design.
A city as raw material
In the Casa Liv 2026 project, historical research guides every decision. Costa selects formal codes from the decade and reorganizes them in a current language, without reproducing them literally.
Woods, velvety surfaces and metallic elements form a palette of deep tones. Rounded forms and textures distinguish the planes, and intimate lighting shapes the volumes and sets the atmosphere of the space at Casa Liv 2026.

Objects and graphic details evoke traits of the city, and the spatial solutions reinterpret the local portrait instead of illustrating it.

Designed for longer stays, the hotel prioritizes contemplation and discovery and holds its own place among the Casa Liv 2026 spaces.

For the designer, the goal at Casa Liv 2026 goes beyond historical revival.
“More than revisiting an era, we seek to create a sensory experience in which colors, materials, furniture and emotional references tell stories and invite people to slow down,” Costa said.

In the designer’s view, Amazonian identity and memory gain a contemporary perspective, and the past works as material for creation.

A Pará-born architect, Costa leads Studio Tuca, founded in 2013 in Belém. The firm works on buildings, interiors, set design and product design, with a distinctive language anchored in regional customs. In 2026, she was selected to represent Pará at the Brazilian Architecture Biennial in São Paulo.
Bringing together professionals and brands in signature spaces, Casa Liv 2026 combines art, gastronomy and culture in an immersive format.
